Salman Butt, Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Asif were suspended after newspaper allegations appeared at the end of August during their tour of England.

The hearing in front of the ICC’s Anti Corruption Tribunal will take place in Doha, Qatar from 6-11 January, 2011.

Butt and Amir appealed unsuccessfully against provisional bans in October.

Butt, who was Test captain during the summer tour of England and bowlers Amir and Asif were questioned by British police following allegations published in the News of the World newspaper about the final Test against England at Lord’s.

It was claimed Asif and Amir deliberately bowled no-balls at pre-arranged times during the Test, with Butt also said to be involved, in return for money from a bookmaker’s “middle man”.

Fellow seamer Wahab Riaz was also questioned by police, whose investigation – separate from the ICC Anti-Corruption and Security Unit’s (ACSU) own probe – remains ongoing, although no criminal charges have yet been brought.

Michael Beloff QC, the man who chaired the Code of Conduct Commission that rejected the appeals by Butt and Amir, will also chair the full tribunal hearing against the trio.

Joining Beloff on the tribunal will be fellow code of conduct commissioners Justice Albie Sachs of South Africa and Kenya’s Sharad Rao.

The match in Dubai was the first played by either team since Pakistan wicketkeeper Zulqarnain Haider walked out over match-fixing concerns.

Smith and fellow opener Alvaro Petersen (67) put on 153, with Smith overtaking Allan Border to become the top-scoring Test captain before falling for 100.

But once spin was introduced in the 10th over the pressure was released, allowing South Africa to score a little more freely.

If the Spanish federation decides not to punish Contador, the UCI and Wada can appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas).

The Spanish federation have two days to inform Contador of the opening of the procedure which must be completed within a month, with the decision expected before the end of the year.

Clenbuterol is a muscle-building and fat-burning drug and a World Anti-Doping Agency-accredited lab in Cologne, Germany, found a “very small concentration” of the substance in Contador’s urine sample on 21 July.

However, the amount was 400 times less than the 50 picogram benchmark measurement that anti-doping laboratories accredited by Wada must be able to detect.
